Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar announced the opening of the first section of the Cavitex C5 Southlink — the 2.2-kilometer flyover crossing South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) traversing Taguig and Pasay City.
C5 South Link, one of the ongoing infrastructure projects of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation through its subsidiary Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation is soon to service motorists with the opening of its first Segment 3A1in July. Spanning CP Garcia, Taguig to Sucat, Paranaque, this 7.7 KM Tollroad is composed of 2 Segments which are Segment 2 that will traverse Cavitex to Sucat and Segment 3 which will continue on to Sucat, Paranaque, Pasay, Las Pinas, crossing over SLEX and the Skyway At-Grade to CP Garcia Avenue, Taguig. It will have 3 interchanges namely the Cavitex R1 interchange, the Sucat Interchange and the Merville Interchange. The project is estimated at 10B.
Metro Pacific Tollways financing deals bag Asian infra awards; MPTC is ‘Project Sponsor of the Year’
MPTC bags multiple Asia Infrastructure Awards for P60 billion projects. Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) romped off with four honors from The Asset Triple A Asia Infrastructure Awards 2019, led by the top recognition as “Sponsor of the Year” under the Institutional Awards category in the transport industry. Holding the plum awards at the Four Seasons Hotel in Singapore recently are: Romulo S. Quimbo, Jr., MPTC senior vice president (right), and Allan G. Alfon, Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation president and general manager, while at the center is Daniel Yu, editor-In-chief of The Asset, the award-giving Hong Kong-based financial publication. MPTC was recognized for successfully closing big-ticket P60 billion financing deals in 2018 for three major Philippine toll road projects.
