CAVITEX join hands with Airforce to help save the environment

Kawit, Cavite – Mangroves are vital to the coastal communities of Cavite, it becomes the nursery and home to many fish species that become a source of livelihood to residents. It also helps stabilize the coastline preventing erosions of sea walls. The Mangrove Tree Planting Activity held at Bgy Marulas, Kawit Cavite is one of the significant activities towards the 40th Founding Anniversary of the 15th Strike Wing of the Philippine Airforce, joining the Airmen and women of Sangley Point, Cavite are Metro Pacific companies Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation with their Tollway operator PEATC, and Maynilad
Representing President and CEO J. Luigi Bautista of Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation, Vice President for Operations Roberto V. Bontia, said in his speech “We welcome and support the 15th Strike wing, the municipality of Kawit, the DENR, our sister company Maynilad and all agencies and organizations present to make this activity a success. We join you in protecting the environment. And with this effort hope for the positive impact it will bring to Cavite .”
15th Strike Wing Commander BGen Galileo Gerard R. Kintanar, Jr emphasized that they will continue to be active participants in sustainable activities such as the Mangrove Planting, Coastal Clean Up, Adopt a baranggay and bloodletting to show support and give back to the community. DENR Information officer Ms. Judalyn Fabro stamped her affirmation of the seedlings survival of 75%-80% from last year’s activities done in the different areas in Cavite. “We do not like the ningas kugon attitude, we will see to it that our activities will positively affect the areas where we operate” reiterated Bgen Kintanar in his speech.
The program then proceeded to the Mangrove planting activity along the coast of Kawit where all participants gamely submerged in knee to waist deep water of the Bay.
